Music and more with claudecat17 (aka Chris Davlin)!

It’s another Lake Street Dive tune! Shocker! It’s what’s hitting hardest lately, and I keep discovering tunes I’d missed the first time through a given album. Today’s is a great example of that. It’s from the most recent LSD release, Good Together, and I’m already obsessed with a few others from that album, “Making Do” and “Dance With a Stranger” especially, though “Party On the Roof” is right up there as well, and “Being a Woman”. There really isn’t a bad song on any LSD album, just a few that aren’t quite as great as the rest.

This tune! In a minor key, it’s kinda harrowing when the vocal harmony stabs start, making it all sound momentous and weighty, which it is! People are at the end of their ropes after so much aggressive stupidity and ignorance, from the highest levels of government now! It’s an uphill walk for us all for a few more years it looks like, until they finally put all these clowns in prison where they should be already.

That won’t happen but something will, and there will be much celebrating. The bad guys will have been embarrassed out of existence, or it will seem that way for a while. It’ll be up to us to make sure we never let this happen again. A much higher education budget that’s fairly distributed would be a great place to get that process started.

That got a little more serious than anticipated, so the best thing to do is hit play and let this tune make it better. Leave a comment describing your reaction to the tune or anything else. Literally anything else! It’s total anarchy, aka real freedom up in here! We think America’s free! Ha! It’s never been free here. Ask an indigenous person. Or anyone not of a pasty pale hue…
